General

1.1 What is Personal Data

Personal data are data which disclose or can disclose the customer’s identity. We adhere to the policy of data avoidance. As far as possible, a collection of personal data is avoided.

 

1.2 Dealings with Personal Data

Personal Data exclusively serve the purpose of establishing a contract, content definition, execution, or processing of a contract agreement (Article 6 I S.1 b GDPR). Also, personal data will only be processed if we have your consent (Art. 6 I S. 1 a GDPR). As a matter of principle, they are not forwarded to third-parties. Merely for the fulfillment of the contract, the data will be forwarded to the shipping company responsible for the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. To process payments, the payment data required are forwarded to the credit institution commissioned and, if necessary, to the commissioned and chosen payment service provider. The processing of your personal data takes place exclusively within the EU.

 

1.3 User Data

When visiting this website, general technical information is raised. These are the IP-address used, time, length of visit, browser type and, if necessary, the site of origin. These user data are registered in a log file due to technical conditions and can be used and stored for statistical purposes of this website. Additional personal data are not linked to this user data.

 

1.4 Registration Data

For the full use of the functions of our website registration is required. The registration data are collected through your respective input and used for the purpose specified by your consent (Article 6 I S. 1 a DSGVO).

 

1.5 Length of Storage

We store your personal data beyond the end of the purpose for which the data was raised, but only for the length of time which is required based on legal regulations (esp. fiscal tax law).

You can require information from us whether we process your personal data and as far as this is the case, you have the right to information of these personal data and the additional information mentioned in Article 15 GDPR.

 

2.2 Right to Correction

You have the Right to Correction of the incorrect personal data relating to you; you can demand the completion of incomplete personal data according to Article 16 GDPR.

 

2.3 Right to Deletion

You have the Right to demand from us to immediately delete your personal data referring to you. We are required to delete them immediately, especially for one of the following reasons:

 

Your personal data are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were raised or were processed

You revoke your permission which was the basis for processing your data, and an otherwise legal basis for the processing does not exist.

Your data were processed

The Right to Deletion does not exist if your personal data relating to you are required for enforcement, execution, or defense of our legal claims.

 

2.4 Right to Limitation of Processing

You have the Right to require from us the Limitation of Processing of your personal data, if you argue the accuracy of data, and we examine and verify the accuracy, the processing is unlawful, and you refuse the deletion of data and instead demand the limitation of the use thereof, we no longer require the data, you, however, require them for enforcement, execution, or defense of legal claims, you filed an objection against the processing of your data, and it is not clear yet, whether our warranted reasons outweigh your reasons.

2.5 Right to Transferability of Data

You have the Right to receive the relevant data pertaining to your person provided to us by you in a structured, common and machine-readable form, and you have the Right to transfer those data towards another person responsible without hindrance from us, as far as the processing is based on a permission or a contract, and our processing takes place with the help of automatized processes.

 

2.6 Right of Cancellation

As far as the processing of your personal data is based on permission, you have the Right to cancel this agreement at any time.

 

2.7 General and Right to Complain

The execution of your Rights above is, in principle, free of charge to you. You have the Right to Complain directly to the appropriate Regulating Authority governing us, which is the Commissioner for Data Protection.

3.1 Data Security

All data on our website are secured through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification, and distribution. We shall, however, not assume any liability for the destruction and damage of data.

3.2 Sessions and Cookies

To operate the Internet site, we may use cookies or server-based sessions to store data. Cookies are, for instance, used here for personalized greetings by using the member’s name. Cookies are files, which are stored by a website on the customer’s hard drive to automatically recognize this computer at the next visit to the website, and adjust the website based on the customer’s use. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the information required or separately provided by you to send you regular e-mail newsletters. The deregistration from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by a message to us via the contact options specified in the imprint or via the dedicated link in the newsletter. For our newsletter, we use the third party MailChimp (see 5.5)

5. Third party services

5.1 Social Media Links

Our social media sites can be reached through links on this website to the respective Third-Party Providers. Using the links, you shall reach the corresponding Internet sites of the Third-Parties (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google+). As soon as you shall have opened the Third-Party Site, you shall enter the Third Parties Area of Responsibility, so that their Data Protection Policy or their explanation of data use is applicable. We have no bearing on this; we recommend, however, to log out from the respective Third-Party Provider’s website to avoid unnecessary forwarding of data before the use of the respective link, so that the Third-Party Provider cannot create user profiles through the use of the links.

 

5.2 Use of Matomo

This website uses Matomo, which is a web analytics service. Matomo uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your shortened IP address) is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis, which serves the purpose of website optimization on our part. Your IP address will be immediately anonymized during this process so that you remain anonymous to us as a user. Thus, the consideration shows that there are no overriding interests on your part (Art. 6 I S. 1 f GDPR). IP anonymization

On this website, we have activated the IP anonymization function. As a result, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states that have ratified the Convention on the European Economic Area prior to its transmission to the United States. The full IP address will be transmitted to one of Google’s servers in the United States and abbreviated there only in exceptional cases. Contract data processing

We have executed a contract data processing agreement with Google and are implementing the stringent provisions of the German data protection agencies to the fullest when using Google Analytics.

Demographic parameters provided by Google Analytics

This website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics, to be able to display to the website visitor compatible ads within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be created that contain information about the age, gender and interests of the website visitors. The sources of this information are interest-related advertising by Google as well as visitor data obtained from third party providers. This data cannot be allocated to a specific individual. You have the option to deactivate this function at any time by making pertinent settings changes for advertising in your Google account or you can generally prohibit the recording of your data by Google Analytics as explained in section “Objection to the recording of data”.

Google Analytics E-Commerce-Tracking

This website uses the “E-Commerce Tracking” function of Google Analytics. With the assistance of ECommerce Tracking, the website operator is in a position to analyze the purchasing patterns of website visitors with the aim of improving the operator’s online marketing campaigns. In this context, information, such as the orders placed, the average order values, shipping costs and the time from viewing the product to making the purchasing decision are tracked. These data may be consolidated by Google under a transaction ID, which is allocated to the respective user or the user’s device.

Archiving period

Google Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing. The provider of these solutions is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Remarketing analyzes your user patterns on our website (e.g. clicks on specific products), to allocate a certain advertising target groups to you and to subsequently display matching online offers to you when you visit other online offers (remarketing or retargeting). Formation of Target Groups with Customer Reconciliation

For the formation of target groups, we use, among other things, the Google Remarketing customer reconciliation feature. To achieve this, we transfer certain customer data (e.g. email addresses) from our customer lists to Google. If the respective customers are Google users and are logged into their Google accounts, matching advertising messages within the Google network (e.g. YouTube, Gmail or in a search engine) are displayed for them to view.

5.3 Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps, a Google map service operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). When using Google Maps, data on the use of the Maps functions by visitors to the websites are also collected, processed and used. Here no interests of the users are affected, which outweigh this technical necessity of the integration of the videos (Art. 6 I S. 1 f GDPR). 5.4 Using Youtube

This website and the integrated offers contain so-called embedding of videos on YouTube. These allow the connection to YouTube and the videos stored there. YouTube is an offer from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Here no interests of the users are affected, which outweigh this technical necessity of the integration of the videos (Art. 6 I S. 1 f GDPR). 5.5 Using MailChimp

Our e-mail communications are handled by MailChimp, a platform owned by Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE # 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Your e-mail address, as well as your other information described in these notes, will be stored on the MailChimp servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the emails on our behalf. Furthermore, MailChimp may, according to its information, use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g., for the technical optimization of the shipping and the presentation of the newsletter or economic purposes, to determine from which countries the recipients come. MailChimp does not use the data of our e-mail recipients to write to themselves or to pass them on to third parties. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU privacy shield “Privacy Shield” and is committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. Furthermore, we have concluded a data processing agreement with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp pledges to protect the data of our users, to process it by its privacy policy on our behalf and, in particular, not to disclose it to third parties.
